Finless Foods is the first cellular agriculture company to make cell-cultured fish meat. Michael Selden and Brian Wyrwas founded Finless Foods in 2016 to create a sustainable source of fish. Through cellular agriculture, Finless Foods aim to produce fish meat that does not further deplete wild fish populations and is free of plastic and mercury contamination, starting with cell-cultured Bluefin tuna. As the company develops its cell-based seafood products, Finless Foods launched a plant-based tuna alternative in foodservice channels in 2022.
