Perfect Day is working to commercialize its animal-free dairy protein products. We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Accountant Capital Projects to act as a trusted financial and business partner to Perfect Day’s senior management. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and interpersonal skills and be driven to do what it takes to contribute to a small cross-functional team in a fast paced, collaborative, start-up environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintains all aspects of Fixed Asset Accounting and Reporting as follows:

- Review fixed assets purchase requests (initial asset creation review) and process new fixed asset in ERP system.

- Run monthly fixed asset depreciation

- Record and review fixed assets disposition in the system assign and issue fixed asset tags.

- Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger vs. general ledger and prepare fixed assets roll-forward Perform. various fixed assets analyses (depreciation reasonableness, mid-month review, fluctuation analysis).

- Facilitate physical inventory count.

- Provide audit support.

- Process and prepare capital lease and finance lease analysis, JE and reconciliation monthly

- Oversees capital assets projects, ensuring organizations goals are being met.

- Focus on preparation, review and analysis of monthly requisitions, loan draws, general ledger accounting, budget analysis and financial statement prep.

- Receives soft costs and other invoices and verify of final construction costs including roll forward, accuracy and completeness of support.

- Create journal entries for accruals.

- Prepare quarterly budget vs actual reporting and analysis.

- Research and administer contracts and agreements.

- Serve as a backup to other team members for bank reconciliations, expense report processing, and payables processing and monthly close.

- Support the broader team with special projects and workflow process improvements.

- Present and communicate to all levels of the business.

- Provide ad hoc analysis to enable insightful color of business performances and support decision making.

- Build strong partnership with a broad range of cross-functional and global teams.


- BS or BA in Accounting, or Finance.

- 4-6 years of relevant experience, experience on ASC 842 is preferred.

- Highly proficient in Excel.

- Dependable, hardworking, organized and a self-starter.

- This position requires meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

- Organization, prioritization and being exceptional at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines while maintaining high customer service are keys to success in this position.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong team spirit.
