We are currently looking for a senior scientist/engineer to join our bioprocess development team. As a member of our friendly and dedicated team, you will perform & oversee bioreactor cultures of stem cells and tissue constructs.

Collaborate with a friendly, international team of world-class scientists and engineers in a fast-paced and exciting start-up environment.
Gain experience and expertise in bioprocess development of mammalian stem cells and scaling up from bench scale to pilot production.
Contribute to research from your own experience, work independently and use your creativity to come up with additions to the process.
Perform large scale cell and tissue culture in bioreactor systems and scaled down models. Collect, analyse, interpret and present the experimental data.
Keep overview of the bioprocessing data obtained by team members and at the same time analyse and optimize the bioprocess in collaboration with engineers & scientists from the automation and large scale teams.
Supervise bioreactor operators, assisting them wherever needed and guiding them to grow professionally.
Support the team leader in formulating and rolling out the bioprocess development strategy.
Support the quality assurance officer in implementing changes and adopting them into the process.
Academic background in Cell biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or related field.
PhD in bioprocessing or equivalent experience in industrial RnD.
Knowledge of and experience with mammalian stem cell bioreactor cultures, bench-top or larger scale. Familiarity with microcarrier or aggregate cultures is a plus.
Knowledge of CFD, modelling of bioprocesses & big data analysis will be highly valued.
