Junior Scientist - Bioreactor Operator

We're working on a challenging and incredibly exciting mission: to bring cultured meat to market. Scaling up is crucial for this process.

We are currently looking for a junior-level scientist to join our bioprocess development team. As a member of our friendly and dedicated team, you will perform bioreactor cultures of stem cells and tissue constructs.

Your responsibilities

Perform large scale cell and tissue culture in bioreactor systems.

Analyse and optimise bioreactor culture system in collaboration with engineers and team members of the large scale cell culture team.

Collect, analyse, interpret and present experimental data.

Assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the laboratory.

What we're looking for

Academic background (BSc or MSc) in Cell Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioengineering or related field

Knowledge of and experience with bioreactor cultures, bench-top or larger scale

Experience with culture of mammalian stem cells & microcarrier cultures is highly desirable

Knowledge of CFD or modelling of bioprocesses will be highly valued

Passionate about our mission, and excited about working in a commercial start-up environment.

A hardworking, organised and dedicated team-player.

Good verbal and written communication skills (minimum B2 level English).

Willingness to work on a shift schedule.
