Demand Planner

As the Demand Planner, you will be a key contributor to monthly local business unit S&OP process that brings alignment across leadership and all functions of the organization. You will manage the first link in JUST’s supply chain, the demand plan, which is pivotal in delivering the company's sales, service and cost commitments. Through successful collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams, the Demand Planner supports the complex process of gathering data, analyzing results, and publishing accurate demand plans that point the rest of the business in the correct execution direction.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Be an advocate of the monthly local business unit S&OP process, bringing alignment across leadership and all functions of the organization.

- Partner with supply chain partners to ensure service level and inventory (net working capital) goals are met.

- Deliver completed forecasts, which are the basis of JUST production and purchasing decisions.

- Oversee full life-cycle product fulfillment: process, monitor and track POs in ERP system, monitor production schedules with vendors and import shipment schedules to ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment.

- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.

- Gather qualitative information from Sales and Marketing as it affects future unit forecasted demand, including follow-up of out of stocks with Planning and Operations.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct regular root cause analysis of forecast and identify solutions as well as impact on supply chain planning process

- Provide strategic and tactical support in the prediction and communication of future volume trends

- Oversee and support the life-cycle of purchase orders through fulfillment and delivery, ensuring requirements and fulfillment schedules are met.

- Effectively communicate actual versus forecasts, and continuously work to improve and enhance the forecasting and inventory planning process.


- B.S degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field

- 3-5 years of previous experience in forecasting, preferably within food industry or other CPG-related companies

- Experience in and/or exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning and/or supply planning

- Experience working in an ERP (Netsuite a plus!)

- Extremely proficient in MS Excel

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proven leadership skills and comfort with presenting to a variety of audiences

- Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional project team and appropriately manage multiple demands on time

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
